My native city.

My native city is Minsk. Here I was born and here I have lived all my life. Minsk is the capital of the Belarus. It is an ancient city and dates back to the 11th century. Minsk is a hero city. It was honored with the title in 1974 for outstanding heroism and courage during the Great Patriotic War. The citizens of Minsk are proud of their city. It is beautiful at any time of the year. I like my city as well. But I really love big city, where a lot of fuss and a lot of people. I’m living in London now. London is the largest city in Europe with a population of eight and a quarter million. Wonderful city. I feel happy that I'm here now.

What is you favorite food?

What is your favorite food? I don’t have a favorite food. I just like eating tasty meal. These days I really love fruit, especially bananas and I also like mango. In the past I used to eat too much fast food but these days I’m trying to eat more healthy food so cut it out. And I absolutely love chocolate.

Draniki is a traditional Belarusian food.

Draniki is a traditional Belarusian recipe for a classic potato pancake that's a staple of the cuisine. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic Belarusian version.

Draniki Preparation:

Method:

Peel the potatoes and grate into a bowl then add the flour and stir in the milk and egg. Season with salt then stir to combine.

Meanwhile, heat oil in a large frying pan and add the potato mixture by the tablespoon. Spread out with the back of a spoon to form small individual pancakes (no more than 10cm in diameter). Cook for about 4 minutes (or until nicely crisped and brown) then flip over and cook on the other side.

These should be served hot, accompanied by sour cream.

Weekends

I like weekend, but I used to work in a Beauty Salon, and sometimes I worked at the weekend on Saturday or Sunday. But I wasn't actually upset, because I'd known I'm gonna have a rest on Monday.

Thats great not work on Monday! At the weekend I usually sleep till afternoon. After lunch, I visit my parents or do shopping. In the evening, I meet with my friends and we go to the cafe or cinema or somewhere else. At the night I prefer spend my time in clubs or bars with friends. Sometimes I'm frustrated when my friends call me to the party on Saturday, because I can't go I have to work, but then I remember that Monday is day off!!! And I am happy!!!
